Proverbs are everywhere – offering advice, telling stories, and reminding us of timeless truths. But what if we flipped those familiar sayings?
Our 2025 student contest dares students to take a traditional proverb and twist it. Through personal expression and creativity, students are asked to reinvent proverbs and get the chance to turn something old into something bold!
We’re inviting students to:
- take a well-known proverb,
- add a personal twist or interpretation,
- express that idea through a unique piece of artwork!

What Will Students Gain
This contest goes beyond artistic expression — it nurtures critical thinking, collaboration, and cultural understanding. By engaging with famous proverbs, students will:
- stretch their creativity and visual thinking by modifying well-known proverbs
- learn how to express ideas in unconventional ways
- explore how old sayings can be reshaped through imagination.
