Steve Lever
Steve Lever holds a BA (Hons) from Leeds University. After working as a teacher of English as a foreign language for 12 years, he moved into ELT consultancy for Express Publishing. In this capacity he has spent the last few years travelling around the world delivering workshops and seminars. He has been a plenary speaker at many international conferences and has also been pleased to be involved in joint projects with the British Council and Education ministries in various countries.
He has a strong amateur interest in teaching through drama (a subject on which he has published articles) and the use of NLP in language teaching. He is always on the lookout for ideas that make the EFL classroom a positive place to be.
Alicja Cholewa-Zawadzka
Alicja Cholewa-Zawadzka is a graduate from the University of Silesia (M.A. in Linguistics) and the University of Economics in Katowice. She is a former DOS and has extensive experience in teaching nearly all age groups, levels and course types. She has worked as an EFL and ESP teacher as well as run tailored courses, esp. in Legal English and Business English. As a teacher trainer for EGIS/Express Publishing, she has given a huge number of workshops and seminars for teachers of English. Also, Alicja has been involved both in pre- and in-service training, providing support and giving ideas for teaching. Recently, she has been engaged in developing and editing extra materials for ELT teachers. Alicja’s chief professional interests include integrating Interactive Whiteboard and ICT into language teaching. In her private life, she is a passionate skier and dedicated world traveller.
Monika Michalak
Monika Michalak is an ELT consultant and teacher trainer at Express Publishing/EGIS. She holds an MA from the English Department of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. As a regular speaker and participant in the annual IATEFL Poland conference, she tries to stay on top of the latest trends in EFL methodology and technology, constantly looking for ways of enhancing learning. She has addressed varied audiences giving numerous presentations and running training sessions for teachers of English throughout Poland. She is currently based in Warsaw, where she lives and works combining her passion for English with the pleasure of travelling.
