HUMANS VS AI ? STEPPING UP ON OUR “HUMANNESS”
As we face more and more advance in techonology and Artificial Intelligence, are we really coming to the point where we question Humans vs AI? This talk will explore how we can move forward in education taking the best from AI and technology as complements to all that we do as great human educators. If we explore the definition of humanness and the quality of being human, we can understand that we can harness our metacognition and knowledge through professional coaching to enhance learning processes. In addition, we can understand the ways we can use new techonologies to our and our learners’ advantage, so that learning becomes an impacting experience that leads to more effective, more efficient and even faster learning, and that manages to reach all types of today’s learners.
RACHEL MARIE PALING started teaching English as a Foreign Language to adults over 35 years ago. She has a BA Honours in Law and Spanish, a Masters in Human Rights and Democratisation (EMA), an MA in Applied Neuroscience and a Masters in Neuroeducation and Neuropsychology. She also qualified as a UK Lawyer in 2003 and she is a professional coach with the PCC Credential from the International Coaching Federation. She combines her teaching experience, her specialisation in business English and her legal knowledge to coach top executives across Europe. Rachel founded Efficient Language Coaching in 2008 and created Neurolanguage Coaching®, a learning method that combines professional coaching with principles of neuroscience. She has trained nearly 1200 language teachers worldwide certifying them as Neurolanguage Coaches with her training course, the only language certification course accredited by the International Coach Federation of the USA.
