TURNING EXAM PRACTICE INTO EXAM TRAINING
In this presentation, we will look at classroom strategies for optimising the impact of exam practice work in class. We will discuss a range of classroom procedures, each related to the core skills areas that help teachers who use exam practice material to go beyond just familiarising candidates with exam features and formats and provide a space for effective test-taking strategies to flourish.
BOB OBEE has an MA in Critical Theory and an MA in Applied Linguistics. He was formerly Director of Studies of the British Council Teaching Centres in Athens and Kuala Lumpur and now works as a consultant on international language projects for Cambridge English Language Assessment. He has presented as a keynote speaker at many conferences throughout the world and written a wide range of ELT publications with CUP and Express Publishing. His publications with Express include Upstream Upper-Intermediate, the upper levels of the Spotlight series, Mission IELTS 1 and 2, Proficiency Practice Tests 1 and the i Wonder series.
